How Can We Help?
There are three components to TMD disorder; biomechanical, emotional and structural. These contribute to over stimulating of associated jaw, head and neck muscles leading to pain tension, spasm and the associated symptoms. The structural component is almost always present and usually the primary cause of muscle imbalance and symptoms. Balancing these muscles is done through an neuromuscular approach that seeks to improve the relationship between muscles and nerves, and the teeth and joint. A scientific approach is used to measure function and the establish jaw position that reduces that over stimulation, tension and pain spasm. The proper treatment of the disorder can eliminate pain and also actually improve that look of your facial structure.
